2701: Race and Society

In this course students will engage with a comprehensive and historical overview of the processes through which race was established, is reproduced, and shapes peoples’ lives. In particular, we will cover how race works in global, political, economic, residential, legal, educational, and social aspects of society. Students will come away from the course with a deeper understanding of race and society that they can apply in their everyday lives.
